The Extinction Of Evolution
I repeat to you what I’ve heard the lecturer say because I have attacked scientist and pseudo-scientist that is psychologist, we have said a couple of indecent things about God and his unjustified holier that though attitude, so why not make note of what a lecturer might say on evolution.
“I am told and it may well be true that attacks upon evolution have been more frequent than has been reported, the establishment is always hesitant to reports acts against evolution simply because that theory is now well established though not as well proven. The reality is that the establishment believes in evolution and it propagates that belief because evolution justifies the lack of immediate change, and this benefits the existing order period.
I am going to tell you that evolution as we have known it is correct, beyond doubt evolution is true, we are related to that woman from the dark continent and are indeed the product of someone having sex with her, and that may not seem that wonderful but she really did look much better when she was alive. Still anthropologist will tell you that time has been good to her and I will tell you that anthropologist spent to much time in caves. I could even, if I was that mean which I am not, say that some of the stuff that was in her mouth was not there when she was found but that would wrongly label anthropologist as necrophilics just because they like to disinterred mummies.
There is a hole the size of the earth on evolution and it starts like this. Unlike most theories which have been false and only remain true do to lack of evidence, evolution is actually a theory which is really true and has been true. Having said that let me also say that that is what it has in common with religion. There was a god, hence religion, until we killed him and through misinformation, resurrection, he lived for a long time after his death, until a certain philosopher took the time and was mad enough to report his death. Some will make the dubious claim that you can have religion without a god which is like having chocolate without almonds, not as satisfying. But my point is that evolution was indeed true, did in fact prove itself but, and it grieves me so to have to reported but evolution is now agonizing if not already dead.
I am sorry, it is unfortunate and in a world full of uncertainties certainly we did not need one more. Unfortunately we as humans have arrived at the junction at which we must shed our evolutionary shell in order to fully mature. Yes evolution protected us, yes evolution kicked god off of center stage and placed us at the top of the evolutionary heap and yes evolution gave us confidence and made us thrived while other lesser species succumb to extinction but evolution is now agonizing and keep your eye on the canary.
The reason is simple evolution is a very nice thing if you live in a temporal world that for the most part crawls, that is for the most part primitive, therefor dangerous and by implication primitive. In evolutionary environments things don’t happen to fast so trees can take their time to grow, glaciers can live long lives and humans can count on the general appearance of environment and geography to remain for the most part true within a recognizable millennium. But the problem is that at some point evolution ceases to serve its stabilizing balancing purpose, in other words at some point the evolutionary process outgrows itself. It has too.
And it has to for one very important reason that the rest of the universe does not necessarily believe in evolution, that in the rest of the universe things can happen instantaneously, unaware of time, of living organism and even of matter. As a species develops under the constrains of evolution it begins to sense the existence of inexplicable things, things that happen without evolution but simply because the chemistry has come together to make the same identical properties that it seemed only evolutionary process could produce. In order for a successful species to compete in a universe of black holes, worm holes, plasma, novas, superstrings, a universe that is imploding or expanding, a universe of unpredictable, that is our universe, then said species to insure survival has to become a fluid personality. It has to be able to change in a moments notice, it has to be able to predict events so as to prevent them instead of reacting to events which is the only action evolution allows for. This species has to be able to change itself, which is to say to be emotionally connected to itself for that will allow the ability to change attachment without personal change.
A species that seeks to maintain itself unchanged will in the end perish, a species that is willing to survive as other than itself, even to the point of absolute disassociation with its past to unrecognizable degrees, that species alone is guarantee a greater survival probability. Survival does not often come in agreeable terms sometimes it requires us to slaughter others, sometimes our own, their is a certain brutality to anything that has to do with existence, to exist is the priority, to exist as one is, is secondary. Evolution existed because it served this purpose but evolution is to slow to adapt, evolution has ceased to serve our need for expediency. An expediency that has been generated by our ability to see beyond ourselves, and the ability to see beyond ourselves is not the product of evolution but a product of a product of evolution, the mind. As the clown so well summarized it The Brain though the product of evolution is also the only alternative to evolution.
In a primitive environment there is not much mind to a brain, it is merely a guidance counselor and we all know that the only thing a guidance counselor sees is the system beyond that there is certain blindness. A counselor only tells us how we can change so that the system will reward us better. But fortunately and for reasons unknown mind develops and by mind I mean that which feels and senses theory, that which touches beyond the corporeal world, that which enters aesthetic sublimation’s. When this begins to occur the need for us to be what determines or sense more of things becomes imperative. The need for us to be able to master the genie becomes mandatory.
This need is not based in lust or power as some philosophers have in the past wrongly concluded but rather in the very basic need to survive. If you realize that there is a whole universe that is completely unaware of your existence and that an asteroid just in the wrong trajectory can instantaneously and without notice end all that you hold to be dear, well, you begin to get emotional about the things that are happening in your neighborhood and the more you care the more you arrive at a need to change things at a local level and the local changes cause you to become aware of universals and this universals just reduce you more and once you realize that you have no choice but to decide to become a part of it all because as a part of it all it may not kill you if only because it considers you apart of itself.
To become a part of it all you must accept the fact that you are a nonentity, that you can change and that change is good, even if it is also very trying. Once mind arrives here it is no longer sensitive to itself, but to a group, to a purpose to an idea, to a colossus, that is to things that do not really exist, and so it acquires a mentality of: How can I change to continue to exist? what do I have to do to continue to exist? and in what state of being am I most likely to survive? Once ideas come to mind then actions will reflect them, do I need to learn how to travel backwards in time to avoid the inevitable contraction of the universe? Is time the only medium of existence or can I escape into eternity? Will the universe reach absolute zero and if it does will I really join the others as one harmonious dancing lot or will I perish, is individuality in my interest and if so should I avoid absolute zero at all cost?
Mind thinks but more feels than thinks these things, and as it does it concludes that it needs fantastic alterations to its world view so as to deal with the dynamics and grandeur of an unpredictable and indifferent universe. What we are witnessing, and it is phenomenal is the birth of a non-evolutionary world, void of restrains, unattached from rooted culture, eroding biological and environmental restrains, that is to say we as humans have now developed to the point that we can no longer wait for evolution.
Now some of you are probably saying to yourselves how can this be we have only now begun to understand evolution? Our comprehension of it is now in full development, how can we not need something that in a sense we have just now begun to explore with the proper analytical tools which have been long in coming. And this is what I will say to you when something begins to come to full light, when something becomes clear to us at that point in its evolutionary process it is already dead. Things become most knowable and noticeable when they are fully developed, that is when they have reached maturity they have also reached the highest level of exposure to the external world. The reason for this is very simple if a given entity does not fully understand itself or as an item of matter it is not fully developed, its presence is not felt or seen as easily, and that is because things have a tendency to project their image based on their internal strength, the greater that, the greater the image, the greater their observable factor. Certainly this is a good thing because if an entity is not well defined within itself then exposure could place it in conflict with things that are deadly to it.
Those of you that are paying attention will further say if that is the case then your own argument is wrong for evolution by my terms is fully developed and if so at the height of its existence and therefor far from extinction, almost indestructible, so we can probably not kill it and neither can it die voluntarily sense most things cling to life even if they are abominably ugly. And I will say to thee you are correct but wrong none the less, let us not forget that Christ was crucified at the peak of his presence on earth, never did we see more of god than when we were most against him. It happens that this evolution is becoming useless to us that is it has ceased to give us the evolutionary advantage, instead it is a handicap to have to wait for evolutionary change in a universe where grand things happen in nano seconds. In a universe so huge that to reach other stars by evolutionary means we would have to wait thousands of years for inter galactic travel and even then their is a national speed limit that of light and a mortal limit too. And because of that need for expediency you and I have no further need of evolution, very much because of that evolution is and has to be a dead thing. It does not mean that there are not other things and other places in the universe that need it, certainly we could even consider that we inhabit an environment that is itself evolving in a grand scale which is not noticeable to us and we are independent of it and therefor not subject to its evolutionary whims.
Further it is clear now that evolution itself is the product of a rational environment and while it is common in our world to think that rational is an advanced development the opposite is true, rational is the most primitive. It is active in the most primitive stages of development and becomes less important as the mind develops. Some of you will want an explanation and it is very simple and so obvious that it is remarkable that we have not heard more of it. We can begin by asking which would you say is the most developed species in evolutionary terms? The appropriate answer requires no thinking it is the human species. There are two questions that follow: which is the most rational the least or most evolved species? Which of the highest or lowest in the evolutionary heap is the most emotional? Now this does require some contrarian thought here we go: Basically if we looked at the most basic forms of life what we would find is that these perform thoughtless tasks without ever really thinking. The legs and wings of a fly might spring it into flight more because they feel a certain rush of air than because they have decided to perform a subliminal dance. But their action is very rational the flirting tongue of a hungry frog or the sweeping action of a fly swatter are know to cause the sudden rush of wind it is a rational precaution to fly out and perhaps one that if given a moment of thought would make it a moment to late so it is even more rational that it is a react now and ask questions later function. If we move up to a more evolved species like a lion or a bear what we find are similar rational actions. For the most part animals kill when they are hungry or when they are provoked, senseless killings while not unheard of in animals are still rather uncommon. For the most part we can say that animal are rational, they move from territory to territory if the food supply or the weather requires it, if the going is good they stay put. Very rational indeed, animals you will also notice are not very emotional they can make some very cold blooded but rational decisions kind of like our military which have to definitely be closer to animals than humans. The male of some species might destroy its own children to prevent future competition for habitat or mates, very rational indeed. Animals in fact have more rational behavior than emotional behavior and what we see is that as we climb up that evolutionary ladder animals become more emotional, more irrational, more caring more likely to be sensitive, more likely to take the leap of faith, and more likely to begin writing dramatic plays. Random senseless killings, strange thought processes, multiple personalities, duplicitous actions all these qualities are more common and more dominant in the more evolved species reaching their ultimate plateau in humans.
Humans are the most irrational animal that there is, I mean not that they are not rational, certainly they do rational things, but they also do more irrational things, are more emotional are more likely to suffer post traumatic syndromes something that a lion that may have just killed his offspring’s may never know. Of course the more irrational you become the less evolution you need; and the more any evolution that you have in your system becomes a handicap. The universe when you start talking of its complexities becomes less and less tolerable of rational behavior in fact one can go to the edge on this and say that a logical rational world only exist in very small minds and only works in small environments, the more complex the environment the more given it will be to irrational behavior.
Now you will say if evolution is so wrong why has it been permitted to play such a dominant role? Well the reasons are well founded, you see evolution far from removing humanity from being the center of all the universe made it indeed the best of everything knowable. Before evolutionary theory, lets be clear here we were evolving even when we had religion, but before evolutionary theory religion made us the center of the universe, the center of Gods attention but while we were the center of gods attention many terrible things still came to pass and this kind of made us feel very helpless. Add to that the fact that we could not see or understand very much if anything of this god thing and you kind of see the immediate need for some kind of certainty, for a steel pole that you can grab and hang on to just in case of another flood. Evolution not only made it permissible for us to understand origins and progressions, it placed us at the top of the evolutionary ladder and this was very hard to resist. Regardless of what anyone tells you the fact is that evolution told us that only the best survive and guess what we were the best of the best, at the top of the evolutionary heap, at the top of the food chain, and if something puts you on top and there is no one above you, how can you possibly say that you do not believe in that, you cant. That is why you we did not need faith to believe in evolution, evolution was too kind to the ego.
So evolution far from being revolutionary and taking humanity out of center stage was placing it in center stage and while simultaneously giving it a license to conduct the show. If anyone could we could. Sure the environment might still overcome us but we had a better chance than anyone else and so even if this was the worst of all possible worlds evolution placed us in the best of all possible conditions. What I am saying if you haven’t got it is that evolution is rational!
And if evolution is to die and if with it much of rationality must go we must prepare ourselves to define ourselves in a more emotional and irrational context and this is the least explored aspect of life. What we are witnessing today is the emotional developing, the emotional making its presence known. Inexplicable are rampant, treasure chest filled with nuggets of gold, fire ants from hell, and beautiful queens that turn into mules are becoming more and more possible, and once everything becomes possible we no longer live in a rational universe, that is non evolutionary, and in a non rational universe feelings are imperative because you can not react unless you feel what is going to happen and nothing communicates, specially not knowledge, as effectively as feelings, a mother can sense if something terrible is going to or is happening to her child, even if the child is thousands of miles away, that is not rational.
This is the sort of early warning system that we need to survive in tomorrow’s environment and in it the mother will need to be able to transport herself and her children to safety in a moments notice and this may mean that she may have to, exceed the speed of light or even to cease breathing oxygen and opt for something more abundant. The rigors of the future are to stressful for evolution we can not take her there with us, so to repeat the clown: Though the mind is the product of evolution it is also the only alternative to evolution! And with it we can make ourselves better or at worse mere survivalist, which ever in the end is better. And better may well be a brainless mind."
And should we be unhappy about evolution’s extinction? (He pauses and then firmly proceeds,) Of course not you Dodos! For the concept of evolution as it applies to the individual and to sexual evolution is horror. Because it means particularly for us males that we can not reproduce ourselves, and for all of us that are sexual creatures it means that we can not reproduce our individuality. Sexual evolution means that only by not being whom we are can we continue to be. It tells us that we must reduce ourselves, shared by half and recombine with half of another so as to produce another that is for sure not the whole of what we are as individuals. More preposterous that we must die so that future generations can live. Give me death is a given! Society is an attack by a bunch of individuals against the individual.
We must then attempt to reproduce uniqueness that is to loose ourselves so that we can avoid the pervasive enemy that will undoubtedly identify us, if we are what we are, for too long. But again, we can only survive today as other than what we are, thus begins the altruistic action for the future is not ours, nor will it be like us; one day the world wakes up unlike nothing it has ever been.
Now to some of you in the audience this may be a good thing from yet another perspective for as the rigors of a new order destroy the harnesses of evolution and theorem turns to prove that even mathematical doubt is certain then we come to the possibility of God. For now even by scientific standards god or the existence of a god is possible even if only by the laws of mere probability. The laws of quantum permit for the unlikely probability of the existence of god. That a god created by you and me, or a god created by nature or a god that wills its being might exist in an infinite universe of infinite probability is most likely. And you and I should suffer a degree of joy in that probability for it is not longer for science so much that god can exist as a question of when, what conditions bring god into being? What joy.
Now some will say that the passing influence of religion is sign that that god existed and died. Others will say that God is immortal and that may well be true but even an immortal God will suffer from the probability of death, even if this probability is never proven he will still suffer it. Immortality merely means that the likelihood of death is insignificant. But immortality can not be proven because it takes forever.
The benefit of probability to the religious has been grossly ignored by the faithful. Say for instance that god does not exist today then the probability of his existing in some distant point on the infinite future does. And if an all knowing omnipotent god exist at some point in the infinite future he will know all of us in the past, and all of everything in this god’s future state, that is most certain. And if God exist in the future then we know not of god because we died before he existed for us but certainly this gods historical memory knows of us and calls upon us. Maybe we have a choice, that is, to know that God exist is to also not be able to tell God’s whereabouts, if we choose to believe in him we are also choosing not to see him, we must then resort to divination, and an atheist is logically much closer to seeing God, but, to good irony, an atheist is not looking for God.
So Quantum makes god possible and this should not surprise us because Quantum is the soul that science was lacking, quantum allows for impossibilities, logic can be allowed to fold here and there and everywhere to a nice point of insensibility, quantum requires that scientist have faith; the soul of religion and quantum physics are completely interchangeable entities. They can be everywhere, the can be in and out of everything, they can be outside of space and time, that is to say they can be spirits.
So probability unwillingly predicts the existence of a god and sense we are talking about an immortal god once probability gives this god a chance of existing it will be really hard to get rid of him or to hide from him. So a God of the future is a god for all time. But statistical experts will argue the obvious that regardless of how infinite eternity might allow for all probabilities, at any given time the probability of there being a god is always the same, and always means, abysmally small. In short your chances of winning the lottery are always the same even if you play all the possible odds you can still lose. And the statisticians are correct, but people do not play and win the lottery because they are wise, nor should we doubt that god could cheat statistics. After all it is a large amount of mass idiocy that makes lotteries successful.
Now god has to exist because there is a chance that he exist, if god never ever existed then there isn’t a chance in hell that he can exist, and if god can not exist then the probability of his existence is none and then probability can not calculate the existence of god; or better said, it’s calculation would be in error. But I say on to thee that the less God exist, and the greater the amount of time that he goes on without existing in our hearts, in our souls, the greater the possibility that he will exist, and this potential existence of god continues to amass until it becomes infinite potential in everything, and by conjecture does exist as an infinite being. And then we will be dammed.
But I must also say that in the end the genuine reason why God does not exist in this universe, or for us, or in us, is because god is a perfect being. God is immaculate essence and such beings, however probable, can only exist under perfect conditions. According to science a perfect symmetrical state occurred only during the first initial nano or Pico seconds of the Big Bang. Only at such astral level of aesthetic and symmetrical beauty, could god have existed. So the universe is really the remains of God’s cremation. God, of course having no reference for time may still think that he exist. But once the symmetry of the universe broke all forces apart, giving them each, unique identities, everything could no longer exist as one indivisible entity. In a sense God lost his, I God, identity, and, unfortunately for him, became everything when he blew up.
This was or is, because the existence of God is indeed so highly improbable, like the improbability of perfect symmetry that it could not last, not even for fractions of a minute. God immortal may actually have the shortest life span, appearing immortal not because of longevity, but because of absolute density; and thus appearing immortal because of an existence outside of time, which unfortunately for God, also equals space. So just in case you are not paying attention, to exist God will have to prove relativity wrong. Further, stable conditions are not by nature perfect, say for instance a good marriage, but they have the advantage that they can last, that is coexist with other things or beings just as imperfect. So it may not please you all but the imperfect universe we live in is an end correction to the volatility of perfection. And it is…”
I always hated professors and this one, even though he quoted the clown, was no different they could talk senseless nonsense for hours, this guy had superseded himself, I did not and could not wait for the end, I walked out, I was after all already a galactic traveler, an experienced and weathered traveler, I could teach him stuff. I could tell him what I will tell you my dear reader that he is partially correct, and you should be more attentive here than ever, let me tell you the greatest truth I have come to know is, that irrational behavior is what comes after rational behavior matures! That the reason why the scientist have come to naught is because logic is linear and ruled based, but in the real universe where distance can cease, where space can fold into nothingness, where time can tire of passing, in that universe, irrational behavior is the secret to success, tell yourselves this every time you try to be logical, tell your heart this every time it tries to reason, and take notice that the people that accomplish the impossible are usually acting against rational elements. At the base of the evolutionary ladder is rational behavior, animals are the most rational creatures that exist, humans are the primordial steps of what is irrational, spirits and gods are somewhere in the middle road to full irrational compliance, leptons and quarks are the most advanced forms of irrational behavior. I was allowed back on earth to save the scientist from their logical ways.”
I walked out of the auditorium, went across the street to the cheese cake factory had the richest, the creamiest cheese cake you could possibly imagine and since cheese rotted with age, which is to say, did not evolve but devolved, and it even tasted better because there was something rotten about it... oh forget it!
The next night drinking a gin martini that had a green olive with a Baboon’s heart, the red Baboon’s heart was staring at me and so I dipped my fingers into the liquid and then I touched my skin with them, and my body temperature begun to excruciatingly exceed ambient temperature; suddenly I found my fingers back in the glass, squeezing the olive so as to force the Baboon’s heart out. And this did happen but as the heart escaped from the olive it strangely increased the volume within the glass causing it to chatter. I immediately and inconspicuously left the bar, knowing well that now in the night now lurks a heartless Baboon.
I will now tell you what the lecturer would not have the guts to tell you because it would make everything he said so irrelevant and that is that there are three primary constituents of everything, and contrary to idea they are not of substance but rather they compose the negation of substance. The three fundamentals that compose the essence of the cosmic are in the end things that make it not exist in its observable aspect. These are in order of importance: Nothingness, darkness and silence. Nothingness is the causation, darkness is the essence and silence is the character of both.
Nothingness: is the truth, nothingness is the most real thing that isn’t, nothingness dominates every aspect of what we call life. Life exist, matter exist because they have wanted to escape the horror of not being, of not existing, and this escape from nothingness is a prodigal escape, that is you escape to become life from nothingness but at best your escape is temporary, so to nothingness you will return.
Darkness is the perfume, the body odor of nothingness and as such it is where things which are trying to escape feel most comfortable, particularly when the escapees have to commit atrocities, darkness gives us the serenity needed to make love to another escapee, to touch anther’s fire that blazes with passion in the night and so often disappears as if it had never existed when the day light arrives. Darkness is as passive as all things that are truth are passive for they have not to prove anything, for they remain what they are whether the world likes it or not. Life and light for instance expend atrocious amounts of their own formulated existence trying to prove that existence to themselves and to others. When we struggle against another, when light flares with arrogance out of a caldron of gas, everyone knows it must persist to exist, the fire has to be fed, but darkness is passive, the candle may light the moment but darkness will be there if it blinks. And yet darkness will not insist if another match is fired, it simply lets it be.
Silence is the inevitable dress that life with darkness and nothingness can produce. Like darkness it will give in to the noise makers to the blazing escapist that clamor and sing operatic dramas that always end in doom but with some sign of faith, that is like saying yes we will fail because forces greater than us which we can not overcome will prevail but some day, some day we will have another chance. That other chance is repetition, it is always the same opera, redone a thousand times and ironically to the fantastic only the mortality of the soprano makes it different.
Life is an escape and so anything that life does adorns the escape from nothingness, darkness and silence. The tree in the forest, with no one there to hear it fall, does make the noise, it does not need an ear, noise is something done for the self, the tree makes noise not only to let others know that it is there but more to tell itself that it is there. To convince itself that it is a living thing, to say I have conquered nothingness I am. But of course a falling tree is about not to be and yet it cries loudest as it falls which is correct because as the tree falls it realizes more that it is failing at life hence its shouts are concentrated to prevent that from happening and more concentrated when they realize it is inevitable.
For the living like you and me we write a book, we play architect we act with grandeur, heroes every step, our causes are moral, our principles above those of the past but our actions are interesting and from a trees perspective different. You see a tree really is escaping from nothingness but the tree is like a prisoner that is simply running away from the prison and inevitably gets caught. Humans are different in that they feel the pain of the escape, it is never a clean break if ones parents are involved and humans have the inane capacity to feel victims of and so to suffer, trees do not suffer, they may get hurt but they just keep on running until they can’t run no more. Life extenuates the pain, life suffers its escape because life has more vigorously fallen in love with the product of the escape, that is life itself, a product that is real to it but not truth to everything else for it only exist as long as the escape last and we know that is not forever. Once you fall in love with something you are going to get hurt, hurt because you can not possess it and this makes life do strange things during the escape. It makes it savagely abuse others that are running away from the same enemy, it makes us write poems or cook books, it makes us drink wine in voluminous proportions, it makes us create rockets and dreams of future worlds and of saviors that will have absolute power to rescue us, and what is all that for? For nothing really, it will come to naught, but what it does do is make our life a little more bearable, it makes us tolerate the escape more, it edifies our quest, it comforts us. Yes it comforts us, all of the beauty in a symphony is a reclamation that tells us two things that we are hurt, but that there is something that will alleviate the pain. Now while this does us no substantial good it does allow us to pass the disease of life on to others so that it will persist against nothingness by constantly convincing those that are born that there is something to all this. The old get conservative because they are going into preservation mode, they are proving to the young that life is worth it and that what is after life, nothingness is death indeed. If we were kind we would stop giving meaning to the escape but such kindness is impossible in a purely selfish universe. The clown would say: Life Is The Art Of Looking Away!
